Vince is Music Director &Owner at Anchorage Music & Dance Center. He has taught private and group music classes in Anchorage for over 25 years. He is focusing his schedule on Intro to Keyboard & Multi-Level Group Lessons this year in piano, guitar, drums & Rock Band. After years of teaching both private lessons & group classes, Vince believes that there are many benefits to learning music in a group setting. In a group, students experience cooperation & teamwork, and opportunities for greater creativity & collaboration naturally present themselves. Vince sees firsthand that as students become comfortable with the weekly class, playing together & for each other, their confidence grows, along with self expression & creativity.

Instruments: Beginning Piano; Beginning to Advanced Guitar & Percussion
Jacob was born in California, but mostly raised in Homer, Alaska. He is excited to bring his love of music to students of various levels and show them how approachable and fun learning music can be! Jacob was inspired by his mom’s musicianship in vocals, piano, and the flute for his church’s worship team. He was able to expand his music education in church, joining the worship team at age 12 and filling in on whichever instrument was needed, while playing all over Alaska.
He passionately pursued percussion in school from grades 4-12, and he began learning electric guitar, after discovering Guitar Hero 2, at age 12. Jacob was first captivated by 80’s rock and metal as a guitar player. His desire to sound good in church pushed him to learn music theory and allowed him to play in groups very often as a teen and an adult.
Jacob has 16 years of experience as a passionate musician, and 8 years of experience teaching in the youth ministries at church. He is looking forward to bringing those two passions together as a music teacher at Wasilla Music & Dance Center.

Wasilla Music & Dance Center is a unique studio offering quality private & group music lessons and dance classes. We are located at 231 E. Herning Avenue, Wasilla. We have been teaching in Wasilla for over 5 years and have a location in Anchorage for over 20 years.
Our building has a state of the art dance studio and 5 music studios. The dance studio has a floating "marley "dance floor, which helps reduce the risk of injuries and allows students to dance longer without getting tired. The music rooms are professionally designed for private lessons, group guitar, keyboard lessons. Multiple students can take private or group music lessons and dance classes at the same time on the same day. That means parents only have to drive to one location for everyone's lessons & classes. What a time saver for parents!
