Intro to Music Camp (6-10yrs)
An action-packed and inspiring camp for Beginners! Students are introduced to a new instrument each day and work towards playing a song together by the end of the week. No music experience required. Our friendly and fun approach to music encourages kids to have fun exploring new instruments like piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums, violin, ukelele, recorder and singing. Students are also introduced to ear training exercises to help understand what they are hearing when they listen to music. Styles of music included: Classical; Rock; Blues; and Family Sing-Along Songs.

Beginner Rock Band Camp (6-10yrs)
Make music & friends when you rock out with us this summer! Previous music experience is not required to join this camp. This fun week for students just starting out in music allows them to experience playing with others in a group environment. Instruments include piano, guitar, bass guitar & drums. Students will create a name for their band, and learn skills such as song forms & chords; dynamics (loud/soft); rhythm styles & tempos. All while working towards a LIVE performance on Friday! Students must have their own instrument to play at camp & practice with at home.

Rock Band Performance Camp (8-16yrs)
Rock Band Camp is great for students looking to play in a band & make new friends this summer! Under the guidance of professional musicians, students play in a band with kids of a similar age and skills level, while preparing for a LIVE concert on Friday! Students must have some playing experience on their instrument. Instruments in each band include Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboards & Vocals. Everyone has fun creating a name & logo for their band and choosing which songs to perform at the concert on Friday. They will also learn arranging skills & rehearsal techniques; and explore “stage presence & performance”.

Rock Band Songwriting & Recording Camp (8-16yrs)
A great experience for musicians who want to learn & develop songwriting & recording skills! Students will write lyrics & melodies and learn popular song forms. They’ll learn to play recognizable chord progressions, while collaborating with other musicians in the camp. They’ll record their songs using programs like Garage Band & Audacity!

Wasilla Music & Dance Center is a unique studio offering quality private & group music lessons and dance classes. We are located at 231 E. Herning Avenue, Wasilla. We have been teaching in Wasilla for over 5 years and have a location in Anchorage for over 20 years.
Our building has a state of the art dance studio and 5 music studios. The dance studio has a floating "marley "dance floor, which helps reduce the risk of injuries and allows students to dance longer without getting tired. The music rooms are professionally designed for private lessons, group guitar, keyboard lessons. Multiple students can take private or group music lessons and dance classes at the same time on the same day. That means parents only have to drive to one location for everyone's lessons & classes. What a time saver for parents!
